# Treasury

Funds in the Treasury ensure a sustainable model with future audits, advanced security, smart contract updates, customer service enhancements, and an eventual ramping to other major blockchain networks.

The Treasury also plays a major role in instances where liquidity or collateral risks arise during early and maturity phases of the protocol. Think of it as an insurance or stop-gap where the protocol might find itself in difficulties during volatile bear markets.
